Rice Elementary, Wellington, Colorado

Rice Elementary School is the latest elementary school to
be built in the Poudre School District. The school is on an
11 acre site located in Wellington, Colorado and opened
in the fall of 2007.

BHA Design used the rural landscape as inspiration for the
colors, patterns and furnishings on the entry plaza. Some
of the features include custom ‘hay bale’ benches, an
orchard, and colored concrete and score patterns to
reflect the different agricultural patterns one might see
from the air.
